Rick Byers had to take his decades of experience in construction and adapt to his own changing family. His parents, like many people in their retirement years, did not want to go to a facility when accessibility and maneuverability suddenly became an issue. This was an invaluable experience in caretaking was what inspired Rick to become a certified Aging-In-Place specialist. Through the training, education and hands-on experience, he has been able to not only guide families in the home modification for aging in place; but also families with members of all ages in need of special adaptations for safety, mobility and accessibility.
